The drop-in alternative to the closed Pinnacle API. Drop alerts in roughly 15-40 ms, before the soft books move. Pinnacle shut its public API on 23 July 2025. pinnapi is an independent feed that restores that data as a modern push API: Pinnacle's live and prematch odds over REST, SSE, and WebSocket, with the detection layer built in server-side. What you get: 13 sports (soccer, tennis, basketball, hockey, football, baseball, esports and more), 120+ football leagues, around 1,400 upcoming matches and 16,000+ market records including player props and specials in a typical prematch snapshot. Money line, spreads, totals, and team totals per period, plus no-vig fair prices computed for you. The flagship feature is odds-drop alerts: set your own threshold with one query parameter (min_drop, from 1%) and the stream only wakes your code when a price falls by at least that much. Prematch alerts can be re-verified before emission to filter flickers. Published end-to-end latency: median 22 ms, p99 41 ms, with open methodology you can rerun. Ingestion runs in Dublin, where the odds enter the network. Built for arbitrage and value bettors, odds-screen and model builders, and AI agents that need the sharp reference line fast. Data shape is compatible with common third-party Pinnacle formats, so migrating old Pinnacle code is usually a base-URL-and-key swap. Honest scope: pinnapi is a data feed, not a sportsbook; it cannot place bets. One book deep, not thirty books wide; live and near-live only, no historical archive. No Pinnacle account needed. Free tier: 100 requests/day, no card. Flat pricing $99-$229/mo, published, no sales calls.
Problem it solves
Pinnacle closed its public API in July 2025, cutting developers and traders off from the sharpest reference line in betting. Polling workarounds see moves late: the poll interval is a blind window. pinnapi restores the line as a push feed with server-side drop detection, in tens of milliseconds.
How it's different
Aggregators poll many books, so Pinnacle arrives as one stale snapshot among thirty. pinnapi is single-book and push-first: drop alerts at a threshold you set, no-vig prices included, and a published latency benchmark (median 22 ms) you can reproduce. Self-serve from $99/mo; no Pinnacle account.
From the maker
Pinnacle closing its public API in July 2025 broke a lot of arbitrage bots and odds models. We rebuilt the feed as a push API with the drop detection server-side, and we publish our latency methodology so every number we claim can be verified. The free tier exists so you can test before paying.
